I bought two of these because someone recommended them for doing heavy carries for exercise. I immediately put a 50-pound bag of sand from the hardware store in each one. The straps pinch your fingers with that much weight in the bag, so I got TRX Bandit handles to put on them (it’s surprisingly hard to find handles that work for this).Carrying got easy very quickly, with no issues from the bags. I tried doing step-ups on the stairs, and they scraped against the edge of the step before I figured out the form. There was no sign of damage to the seams. I even tried swinging them, and aside from nearly knocking myself over and failing to reach full height on the swing, I had no trouble. The fabric doesn’t even creak. I have a feeling that I could put even more weight in these bags, since there is more space left, and the handles alone are basically utility straps that should support hundreds of pounds each. Maybe I’ll try it some day, but for now the only cheap weight that I have to put on top of the sand is brick, and that would be abrasive.I haven’t had the problems reported in some other reviews. There was a slight new-fabric smell, but it faded in a few days without even being washed. Both of my bags are the same size. My only complaint would be the price, but I know how much this much hemp costs (it really is thick) and how much use I can get out f it in the long term.
