Description Melt away backing (sometimes known as the plastic tearaway) provides stability for your embroidering – and when completed, can be dissolved away completely with an applied heat (ironing.) This backing is a great for your more delicate varieties of fabric, such as; organza, lycra, tulle, silk, and lightweight cottons or polyesters, rayons, etc. In the same vein as Solvy, this glossy plastic product is designed to be completely removed in the final phases of embroidery (with Solvy, this is achieved with water – with melt away, it’s heat!) and as such, this product can be used in the same capacity as a topping for towelling work.
